Multi-award winning 'Retouch' grabs Portugal nod

Iranian short film ‘Retouch’ bags four awards at the Cinalfama Lisbon Int’l Film Awards in Portugal.

Directed by Kaveh Mazaheri, the movie grabbed Best Short Fiction, Best Director and Best Screenplay as well as Best Actor awards going to Sonia Sanjari at the ninth session of the event.

‘Retouch’ depicts the story of a young woman whose husband dies before her eyes and she just observes the tragic scene.

The film has so far participated in many international film festivals, winning many awards and nominations.

The Cinalfama Awards are bestowed every two months in the live Cinalfama Awards’ Sessions, where the winners will be announced and the best Feature Film and best Short Film categories will be screened.

The 9th session of the festival was held in the Portuguese capital Lisbon on January 24, 2018.
